ABOUT CALVARY

God calls us to use our time, talent and treasure in service and worship of Him. It is through your financial support that Calvary is able to offer a large myriad of programs for all ages.

After reading the information below, if you have questions about any of these contribution methods please contact Jerry Gates at 763.231.2974, or e-mail at jgates@calvary.org.
ACH - automatic bank transfers
You can arrange for your contribution to be made automatically from your checking account. You may call the church office and request a Simply Giving enrollment form (sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans) be mailed out to you, or you can set up regular ACH transfers online by clicking on the "contribution" link below.
Online Giving (Debit Card or Credit Card)
Debit card or credit card transactions can be set-up as a one-time contribution or can made on a regular, ongoing basis throughout the year. You may call the church office with the information required to set up a debit or credit card contribution or you can conveniently do it online by clicking on the link below.
For both the ACH and Debit/Credit Card Online transactions, you have the option of scheduling an e-mail reminder to make your contribution, or you can schedule the contribution to occur automatically at any frequency that you select. (e.g. weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.)
General instructions for using Calvary's Contribution form
Please note that we recognize some people feel more comfortable giving online if they are able to give an offering envelope each week with their gifts. In these cases, please feel free to print off some "Online" giving slips (PDF format) to include with your offering envelopes.
STOCK
For information about gifting or transferring stock into Calvary's brokerage account please contact Jerry Gates at 763.231.2974.
The general donation process goes as follows: By gifting the stock to Calvary you will eliminate any capital gains tax and you will enjoy the tax benefit of the transfer value of the stock. It is important that you gift the stock to Calvary and that Calvary sells the stock to eliminate the capital gains tax.
If you have the stock certificate, you can bring it to the church office with a letter indicating that you are gifting the stock to Calvary. The letter must be signed by all persons named on the certificate and their signature(s) must match the name as it is shown on the certificate. We will have an additional document at the church office for you to sign. If you are electronically transferring the stock into Calvary's account, please call Jerry Gates for the electronic transfer information necessary to complete the transaction.
ENDOWMENT FUNDS
Calvary's Endowment program also offers many opportunities for you to plan your estate so that the priorities you practiced during your lifetime are also reflected in the planning of your estate. Calvary has two primary endowment funds —the Outreach Endowment Fund and the Congregation Ministries Endowment Fund.
