The ministries of Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp, have one common purpose: to provide opportunities for people, especially young people in their formative years, to deepen their relationships with Christ, the church, and each other. Camp Wapo is located in Amery, Wisconsin

Camp Wapo Summer 2017

Priority Registration: January 15 to March 15 
When you register, be sure to select Calvary from the drop down menu for priority space. While you may register for any week of camp, Calvary has reserved space for Calvary families and friends for the dates listed below.  Calvary staff will be onsite at camp, building relationships with students and, we encourage you to join us for “Calvary Week” if that works for your schedule.

SEEDS Weekend (Grades 2, 3) - This is a great taste of Wapo for your youngest camper. Each day campers will experience chapel, campfire, Bible study, cabin activities and other fun games.

Wapo - Main Site (Grades 4-6) - The week is packed with a variety of activities that are meant to impact kids for eternity. Each day includes Bible study, chapel, cabin activities, free time, field games, campfire.

Ox Lake (Grades 7, 8)Come away and experience the great out of doors at Ox Lake! Campers stay in platform tents, eat delicious home cooked meals, and play! Ox staff will lead campfires, Bible studies, worship, service learning and more. Campers will also experience swimming, low/high ropes challenge course, night games, devotions, and horseback riding. 

T.I.M. Team (Grades 9-12) - This is a great leadership training opportunity! You are housed at Ox Lake with other High School students and serve and lead during the day at Wapo - Main Site with grades 4-7. 



Is there a deposit due at the time of registration? Yes. A $100 deposit will be due. If you are participating in D6 and/or receiving scholarship money and will not be registering with a deposit, please contact Danielle Hoaby

Are there scholarships available? Scholarships (grades 2-12) are available through both Calvary and Camp Wapo. We want all kids to attend, regardless of financial situations. Please apply for a scholarship through Calvary first by filling out the form below. You can also earn money for camp by participating in the D6 program (registration for 2016-17 closed).

Does Calvary provide transportation? Parents are encouraged to pick their campers up and participate in the closing program. School bus transportation is also an option. The bus will leave Calvary at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2017 and return at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017. Call or email Megan Percy by

 to reserve bus transportation. Include the names of kids and if round trip or one-way transportation is needed. The cost is $20 for a one-way trip or $35 round-trip per child. Checks are payable to Calvary by July 16, 2017.

Can we attend camp as a family?  Yes! We have two opportunities!

  • A week-long family camp at Mount Carmel (July 8-14) in Alexandria, MN. Family Blast week 1. A new, high energy model of family camp. Join teacher Scott Rains, Preacher Molly Weinrich & Guest Worship Leader Lynn Stoneking, this week. It is a great option for family members of all ages (including grandparents!) Learn more/register>> 
  • Family weekend at Wapo-  (July 21-23) led by Calvary staff. Childcare will be provided by Wapo staff during Adult Education time. Check out Camp Wapo's website for more information on lodging and activities!
