Safe Haven policy & forms

Calvary is committed to providing a safe environment for children, youth and vulnerable adults—as well as the volunteers who serve them. Such is the focus of our Safe Haven program.

As a volunteer who serves children, youth and vulnerable adults at Calvary, you’re asked to…

Learn about Safe Haven

Calvary’s Safe Haven program revolves around the Safe Haven Safety & Abuse Policy, which helps to protect children, youth and vulnerable adults participating in or served by various Calvary ministries. The policy also aims to guide volunteers in their interaction with children, youth and vulnerable adults in order to help avoid any question of impropriety or abuse.

The Safe Haven Safety & Abuse Policy addresses:

  • Definitions of “child abuse,” “vulnerable adult,” etc.

  • Calvary’s commitment to be a “safe haven.”

  • Calvary’s volunteer screening process.

  • Guidelines for volunteers.

  • Responsibilities around reporting abuse.
