For three weeks in November, we will focus on a powerful passage of scripture that Paul writes to his apprentice Timothy (1 Timothy 6:17-19). Before we assume that Paul isn’t talking to us—that most of us are nowhere close to “rich”—we need to remember that, in comparison to the rest of the world, we are incredibly rich. In turn, we're called to be rich toward God, which can mean a lot of things to a lot of people, but His Word makes it clear that all of us are called to support the mission and work of His church.
