God calls us to live out our faith, not just keep it to ourselves. Our faith should matter every single day. In living our our faith, we believe that we are called to work toward racial reconciliation and justice, as God demonstrates throughout Scripture.
This is not just a political issue. It is directly connected to the gospel. All humans are image-bearers of God (Genesis 1:27). Diversity is a part of God’s very good design (Revelation 7:9). Jesus has broken down the dividing walls of human separation (Ephesians 2:14), and He calls and equips His follower to be His co-agents of reconciliation and justice (2 Corinthians 5:18-19).
As a part of our growth as disciples of Jesus, we believe that we need to keep learning and building relationships.
