Early in 2020 Calvary’s leadership began a two month process of discerning a vision for Calvary for the next five years. In developing this new vision, Calvary’s leadership felt that God was leading them to make a commitment to plant a new church or campus, in the next five years.
In August of 2020, Calvary’s leadership was approached by the lay leadership of Grace to consider merging. At the time, Grace did not know that a new campus was a part of Calvary’s five year vision and Calvary had not yet begun to plan for or seek a second campus.
After a season of prayer, discernment and in-person conversations, both leadership groups felt confident that God was clearly leading us into a kingdom partnership. We enlisted the expertise of The UnStuck Group to lead us in this process through further conversations, strategic planning and financial and property concerns.
While much of the detail work remains, both Calvary and Grace feel that we are ready to commit to an adoption. All throughout this process we have seen God at work and we celebrate how He has brought us together!
