3000 Acts of Kindness Event on Monday, December 12 from 9am-3pm. This is a day to provide hope and dignity for those experiencing homelessness. Our guests will receive companionship, a hot meal (by Chick-fa-la), a free haircut, a warm winter jacket, winter boots, hats/gloves, sleeping bag, hoodies and hygiene items. They will also have access to over 30 agencies that can provide help and resources for them beyond the event. Also, our guests and volunteers will have the opportunity to be prayed over and learn more about Jesus if they wish.
To support this event Calvary is hosting a sleeping bag donation drive now through the end of November. During this time you can drop off a new adult sleeping bag that can withstand cold temperatures at both locations. For your convenience click on the Amazon wish listto order a sleeping bag and have it delivered to Calvary. There are also many opportunities to volunteer either individually or with your small group.
