It’s been a whirlwind of days seeing more of the amazing work World Vision is doing in El Salvador. We met with community leaders and church leaders; as well as kids, youth, and parents. We participated in some of WV’s programs that teach values, keys of faith, leadership skills, and advocacy. We attended a program that helps kids struggling in school catch up. We visited a project that give families two roosters and ten hens, to supply eggs and meat. We visited a community garden project led by seven strong women with a deep faith and a passion for sustainable and healthy food. All of these programs (and much more) are possible because of your willingness to sponsor kids. On Wednesday morning we got to participate in the Choosing Party, which was like a big carnival. We saw kids choose YOU to be their sponsors. The joy and thankfulness was overwhelming. I can’t wait to tell you more about it on Sunday. And I can’t wait for the big reveal where so many of you will get to see the child who chose you!
